Aims:

• To create a digipak/flat plan print task for a CD cover
• Analyse the images and reference the impact on the consumers

For this blog I am going to create images using Pixlr image generator so that I am able to produce images which are similar to the genre of music and the band which I’m referencing but not too similar that it looks the same, so I feel as using this image generator I can get a more unique set of photos which could be used to represent my ideas.

This first image I prompted the image generator to make a photo of Noel and Liam Gallagher standing with each other with vinyl’s of their music in the background. Personally I feel as though this image turned out really well, this distinct difference between the two brothers and the style of outfits are very fitting to both, I would have this on the inside of the CD Digipak as a representative of the brothers and how they’ve created this successful band and brand name.

For this next image I asked the image generator to create a mood board of the band with different ideas which would be able to represent the band. I feel as though the image created shows a very distinct difference to something you would’ve seen 20 years ago when they produced top quality albums. For this image I would have it at the back of the Digipak to show the collage of the band, this is because there isn’t much relevance to the music but if some audience/consumers want to look at the back they will find out more about the band and their ideas.

Finally for this image I asked the image generator to create a mix of ‘what’s the story morning glory album’ as well as all the band standing in the back. I plan on using this as the front cover of the Digipak, this is because it is very similar to the actual album cover however has a few differences which are distinct to the hardcore oasis fans and will show the uniqueness and continue the theme of the rest of the other images, this way I am able to keep the consumer retention as well as changing it up and making it different to what the actual oasis would have
