AIMS:

• TO RESEARCH THE CURRENT MARKET FOR SCHOOL LINKED MAGAZINES.
• TO CONSIDER WHO THE TARGET AUDIENCE IS AND WHAT THE PURPOSE OF THE MAGAZINES ARE.
• TO REFLECT ON THE WAY THE FRONT COVERS HAVE BEEN CONSTRUCTED BEFORE YOU PLAN YOUR OWN SCHOOL MAGAZINE.

• This magazine covers target audience is for Young people / school children. We know this due to the reference to Young People; “The World best News and Facts for Young People”. 
• We can also tell that equality has been shown by this magazines company as they have included 2 black children to feature. this idea of equality shows that inclusivity is for everyone no matter what race.
• You can also see that on the front cover there are a range of different colours more than the usual/suggested amount of 5 colours. This means that the image has been made more appealing and attractive to a younger child who might be easily fascinated by bright appealing colours.
• The narrative theme of this magazine cover is to promote “Standing up to Bullying” in schools by young children. As a theme bullying is a strong topic which has a huge impact on people so school magazines attempting to stop bullying by promoting the message can have an impact on the situation.
• As discussed earlier this magazines has been created to attract the eye of children through the use of bright colours as well as a vast amount of colours. The magazine company have also got their models at a suitable distance to take a medium shot so that they are seen as the main attraction to the front cover. They also got the children holding up a big sign which promotes the message. “Stand up to bullying”.
• For the future when I am considering my own Magazine cover I will look to incorporate fine details such as who is modelling and the colour scheme that I use. I will make it important that its appealing and unique.

• This magazine cover is also related to children and school, however, this cover targets more the parental factors and how to get back into the school routine.
• We can only assume that this is for parents with school children as the model on the front is of an female adult and therefore will be more interesting to adults than young children. We might also be able to assume this is for parents based of the title and cover lines. BTS – Back To School.
• The narrative theme of this magazine cover is “school restarting”. This will help all parents assist with their child’s life in order to have the best start to school for the year.
• In similar they have also considered the colour scheme for their magazine cover. they have used a range of appealing bright colours like yellow an orange, these would stand out more than dull colours like black and white as well as making the return to school seem enjoyable.
• As for the future when I’m designing my own magazine I would consider how my magazine cover looks to the audience, making the cover appealing with a formal and attractive layout.
