40. Changes being made to inside of the Digipak from feedback

Aims:

  • Use the feedback given on the blog before and adapt the Digipak
  • Make sure to consider a range of different factors which will help to make the product more impactful

I’m going to start by adapting my Inside of the Digipak, for this I will need to change the photo on the right hand side as well as the disc to make it more representative of the band and the image which I want to create in order to produce to my audience something which is engaging, and they can buy which will be able to firmly promote for future projects.

To begin these changes to the inside of the Digipak I started by removing the font text as well as the original image this left me with this:

I then had to do some research and find a photo which I had taken from another festival which I could use to reference concerts and bands as a live performance. I got this image below of an artist performing to an audience with another crowd photos, this shows the authenticity of the product and helps to show 2 different sides, these being the black and white image as well as the coloured clip. The idea behind this is so that I can show the contrast in 2 different performances bringing the same hype to crowds.

After this I re-entered the disc (the outline and the centre piece which creates the image on the disc being the same as the one below it on the inside right of the digipak. This shows the clear divide and difference that my target audience would want to see and so they will be able to see the continuity as well as the power behind a live performance.

Finally I still wanted to include the titles of all the songs on the disc so that the customer/consumer knew what they were buying and not to just do for no reason, I believe that including the song titles it adds character to the product as well as making it seem more connected with the audience.

This had all the song names of the album included and I made sure to space them out as evenly as possible and not have them too cramped, that way I was able to produce a more eye catching and pleasing product for my audience. However, in the process I thought that the other side was getting a bit bare and contrasted the other side too much so I looked to add some design at the same time as being able to reference the music video which I had created a music video for.

I added ‘GOING GLOBAL’ in the same font as the other side and had it crossing the middle of the page so that it covered the blur and made it better on the eye so that, making it more likely to get attraction and attention so increasing the publicity of the band and brand and therefore will be able to generate more sales so increased revenue so that for future pieces the production values can be increased with more expensive and deeper budgets.

KEY TAKEAWAY/OVERALL:

  • I need to decide whether or not I am going to keep the text and overall where I’m going to have it placed on the screen if I was to keep it.
  • I would need to get some more overall feedback on this page.
  • On the whole I am pleased with the way this has turned out as it shows more authenticity and has changed up a lot from the first drafts to show evidence of changing production techniques.
