Aims:

• Begin adding the to the inside of the Digipak
• Make sure to continue the conventions of the brand and image and make sure the digipak looks clean and presentable.

First I removed the templates for the inside and left myself with a blank screen and the middle divide, the right hand side is where the disc is going to go and on the left there is going to be extra images and maybe some text to represent OASIS and the significance of it.

I Then had to find Photos which I thought would work well on the inside of the digipak, the image of the left above is of a concert, more specifically Liam Gallagher at reading festival. I felt as though this was significant as obviously Liam Gallagher is who is the lead singer for OASIS who I am basing my music video of. You can clearly tell that this is Liam Gallagher as the big screen to the left of the stage has an image of him as well as his artist specific stage (the earth which is the circular object which is floating above centre stage. I further felt that the glare from the photos gave this image a more realistic feel as it shows authenticity in the image and doesn’t seem photoshopped or generated. On the right is the disc template which will go on the right hand side of the digipak inside.

I then had to insert both into the inside of the Digipak, the concert image on the left and the map of the masterplan and roots on the right hand side. I felt as though keeping the same image for both the inside and front cover kept the repetition of the concept and made it more clear to the audience that I am trying to reinforce the ideas of incorporation of the roots and why being brought up in such a place is special to me.

I then had to add in the disc into the middle of the map, this is so that I could clearly represent to the audience that this where the disc is and that it’s significance to the rest of the digipak is special.

I finally added the outer ring of the disc and placed an animated picture of the world in place to reference being half the world away which links back to my music video as well as the album, I then added each of the albums songs into the middle to reference the album. These were all in the same font and size and helped to bring character to the rest of the product. In order to get the earth into the digipak I imported it from another source and dragged it across from another tab to place it in the middle of the right hand side page. On the right hand side of the page I added a bit of text ‘SISTERS GO GLOBAL AGAIN’ this was to show reference to my actors who are friends but refer to themselves as sisters (like a brother from another mother). This equally coincides with the Gallagher brothers going global as well the connections between the 2 seemed obvious to make the connection.

• On the whole I am very pleased with the work done on this first part of the inside of the digipak and I have been able to achieve the aims of the blog as well as develop skills which I can use for the future.
